We have had many exciting events since our last update. Henry was christened the last Sunday in August. He wore an antique christening gown from Scotland that his Mimi found for him. To show his appreciation for dressing him in such a lovely garment, Henry pooped on it right before we had to go to the front of the church - excellent timing for a diaper leak. Hence, there are very few photos from the christening (the one below was taken in the parking lot before we went in).
Our next adventure was the following weekend, Labor Day. William, Henry, and I went to a triple feature at a drive-in movie! We were too tired to stay for the third show, but we had a great time. The drive-in is in Monetta, SC about 40 min from Augusta, and you can be guaranteed plenty of mullet-sightings (a perfect atmosphere for our viewing of Talladega Nights).
Henry had his 4-month check up last week, and he now weighs 13lbs 8oz (bumped up to 25%) and he is 24 inches long (50%). His head, of course, is in the seventy-fifth percentile! He did great with his shots, and he was given a clean bill-of-health.
This past weekend, we went to Atlanta to visit Matthew Witkow and his parents, Erin and Brandon. He is almost 7 wks old. I think the babies liked each other...
We went to the Atlanta aquarium and it was really amazing. We saw beluga whales, sea lions, otters, penguins, whale sharks, and tons of fish, crabs, and other sea creatures.
We also had lunch with the Daniel family - Jacie, Brett, and Luke. The boys became immediate friends...
Have a great week!
