Chattanooga

I took Henry to Chattanooga for a long overdue visit to see Heather and meet Lucie, her 16-month-old daughter and potential future wife for Henry.
We had a great time at the park and at the aquarium. Here they are on the swings.
So fun.

Heather and Lucie.

I think they make a great looking couple! As long as Henry just does what she says...

And he even conquered the big slide!

The Fair!!

The Fair Came to Town! Mimi and Bump wanted to introduce Henry to some real live cows, and I am always ready for funnel cake, so off we went!
Henry rode the "jalopy" ride with Daddy...

he enjoyed some great people-watching...

he was a little nervous around the noisy scary rides...

he got to meet Bessie the cow... and many of her siblings...

he checked out some trailers...

he liked the carousel...

started off a little concerned on the ferris wheel...

but ended up enjoying the scenes from up high...

and ended the day with an awesome Barney balloon!

Chicago!!

Henry's First Plane Trip!
I had a meeting in Chicago, and Mom was kind enough to accompany me with Henry! Flying with a 17-month old is quite a challenge. But we managed to survive, as did the surrounding passengers.

Bark is FASCINATING!
While I learned about seizures, Henry saw the sights - he and Grandma strolled up and down Michigan Ave, went to the Childrens' Museum, and swam in the pool.

Scenes from September

We were in Savannah the weekend of the Georgia vs. Alabama game. They started off as friends...

Henry had fun, trying on some sweet shades...

and playing patty cake with Grandma

Later in the month we went to Charleston to help Neeraj (second from left) celebrate his 30th birthday. Cheers!

Lake Powell 9/07

We went to Lake Powell in Utah/Arizona early September. The scenery was beautiful.

The men of the boat: Mark, William, Uncle Dan, and Dad (and Rex)

It was so peaceful; just the R and R we needed.

William had fun, too.

You just can't beat these views.

Our whole group - Mark, Mary, Dad, Aunt Jan, Mom, me, William, and Uncle Dan.
And Rex, Riley, and Ruby, too!

Henry was a cowboy for Halloween, but of course he refused to wear the hat or boots for longer than 10 seconds; he didn't mind the holster with his gun and flask. We didn't trick-or-treat; mommy was on call and at the hospital a lot. But we did get to go to a Halloween party for residents and families at MCG. Henry has found a new love for balloons. He doesn't even flinch when they pop in his face - which they did quite a bit!
